How upsetting

What has happened to us? I stopped checking the blog for five days and do I have any posts to catch up on? Nope. Work with me, people! I know we're all busy, but who can't spare 15 minutes to let your old HTS pals know you haven't completely thrown their friendship into a blender and pressed liquefy. Dust off those keyboards! Warm up those fingers!

So in the spirit of practicing what I preach, I will tell you what's going down in Ottawa in these last 10 minutes before I have to head off to class.

The Rideau Canal was officially declared unsafe for skating or any other winter activities last week. It's about time too. I don't know who would be trying to skate on that canal while there are ducks already swimming in it. Crazy winter athletes.

Res formal is coming up on Mar. 26. It's a Vegas theme. Black jack, bar, poker, bar, dancing showgirls, bar, magicians, bar, prizes, bar, limo buses and what else? Oh yes, that's right. A bar. That seems to be the major selling point. I have yet to get tickets. I should get on that soon.

Also on the weekend of res formal, Carleton will be featuring a special guest. For the first time since her beloved best friend in the whole wide world moved to the dull, dull city of Ottawa, she will be gracing us all with her presence. Give it up for... Emily Tam! True story, ladies and gents and all those in between! Em is coming to visit and it's going to be awesome!

In the mean time, I am getting pumped for something else - GOING HOME! In exactly one week, I will be packing my bags and jetting back to Toronto. Special occasion? My mom is coming home from Hong Kong! We have such catching up to do. Oh the havoc we will wreak, the fun we will have, the sushi we will devour and the Gene Kelly we will admire. It's just going to be the best weekend ever, no big deal.

So there we go. My life and all it's wonder and glory in eight minutes. PLUS I pack as much detail as I possibly can when I write. Meaning? You should all be able to keep ME updated on what's happening in your lives in significantly less time.
