Going to Miss Exquisite Food...for a while

As you may have all knew that I’ve been in New York for the past couple of days. Not because of shopping but for the passion of food. It felt like we were on the food network and every dish that came our way was scrumptious, remarkable, and indulging. Even a simple salad, flavours bursting into your taste buds. I literally ate like a “beast”, eating like 4-5 courses, maybe these couple of days were my frosh 15 days. Corn chowder, home-made pasta, pan-seared scallops, beef, snails, halibut, and raw tuna are some of the items that I ate. We felt like we were judges at “Hell’s Kitchen” or some food channel show. With such a high expectation for food, cafeteria food at university will be hell for me. I’m going to miss CIA and going to miss such delicious food, and dinners for two long hours.

Shopping was a second chore on this trip as we went to Woodbury Outlets and Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. I was quite disappointed at the selection of the brand name stores at Poughkeepsie as the mall was deserted like there was absolutely no one in the stores I went into.

University is coming up and people have started to move in or started to pack. I have packed nothing and I only have 3 days to pack my life. University feels like a huge step into the future as you will be stepping into a whole entire atmosphere just like grade 1. Well I shall pack now and hopefully get another chance to go the Culinary Institute of America for more exquisite food.
