Western Life #3: Preparing for the Marathon

so the first week of classes are finally done and over with! Surprisingly, the engin course load has been surprisingly slack... this was clearly a huge surprise as many other faculties have just been piling on the work even though engin is suppose to have the post. As one of my wise sophs said to me, "think of engin course load/homework not as a 100m sprint, but think of it as a marathon." So i'm gonna guess that i'm just tying on my shoes and getting prepared at the start line rite now. With all this said, calc has decided to begin the marathon early as we were assigned roughly 100 problems on the second day of class and they had to be done for the next class which was 2 days away! And according to my prof (he's a douche btw) those 100 problems were nothing compared to what i was going to be assigned later on in the year :S.

The engin sophs said that i shuld be prepared for 5-7 hours of homework/reading material everyday :(. This coupled with my 8:30AM class times every day and my courses that end at 5:30PM (+ nite courses on wednesdays and thursdays), sleeping is probz gonna become a thing of the past. From now on i'm gonna be driven to work off of a hell lot of icetea and barbecue lays chips... mmmmm barbecue lays :). (Oh and probz ketchup chips too cuz theyre kinda awesome lol). Thats it for now! Wish everybody (yes i can finally include melvin in this too) the best of luck for university and everything else!
