Hello! It has been a while (meaning 3 days). I'm not really in the mood to recap all the crazy days of my life that have been missed BUT I will, however, share my short-lived experience at The Charlatan (Carleton's school paper). It is a job-hunting pain in the ass of my own, Rach.
If you remember the newspaper at HTS, you will recall how we had next to no writers at all. Well surprise surprise, Carleton is exactly NOT like that! It seems like every single person here wants to write for the paper meaning the worst has happened.
I, VERONICA TANG, HAVE BEEN WAIT-LISTED. I have become one of many, a long never-ending list of names on a wretched sign-up sheet! Oh the humiliation! Oh the hurt, the disappointment!
That being said, I have taken a full 20 minutes to wallow and I am now ready to move from job hunting to job kidnapping. If they are not going to call Veronica Tang, then they are missing out and I am just going to have to bring the news to them. I will bombard them with so much news that they'll be handing me the whole paper before you can hit spellcheck!
Or something to that effect.
Anyway, the Charlatan also covers big news from other schools across Canada so I would be forever in your debt if any of you know about some big news going on in your school. You don't have to research or anything. Just give me gist of the story and I can fill in the blanks from there. Blog it to me, facebook me (I'll check it, I promise!), email me, call me, text me, anything! I'm not below begging, you know. I need news, people!
It's really a win-win situation. I show the Charlatan what they're missing and you get your school's news in another school's paper.
So that is my master plan. Synchronize watches! Dive! Dive! DIVE!
